Poppy Calls is one of the range of welfare services offered by the Royal
British Legion to beneficiaries where there is a proven welfare need. It
is a free handyman service available to help with minor repairs around
the home and fitting essential
devices such as smoke alarms. Poppy Calls
employ 12 fitters around the country with 7 more in the process of
joining. Administrative support is based in St Neots. By the end of
2012 the number of fitters will increase to 28.
